Elgin Community College (ECC) is a post-secondary educational institution in Elgin which awards Associate of Arts degrees, certificates, continuing education and workforce development.

English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction at ECC is for all non-native English speakers from any language, group or nationality. Instruction covers reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

The Literacy Connection, an affiliate of ProLiteracy, is a non-profit, community-based 501(c)(3) organization helping individuals acquire fundamental literacy skills and learn to read, write, speak and understand English.

English as a Second Language (ESL) provides individualized instruction by trained volunteer tutors to help non-English-speaking adults (over the age of 18) acquire the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

The non-profit organization is the largest and oldest women\'s organization in the United States working in 101 countries promoting justice and women\'s empowerment.

The YWCA ESL program integrates conversational skills, basic computer skills, civic participation, job readiness and financial literacy.

The non-profit organization is the largest and oldest women\'s organization in the United States working in 101 countries promoting justice and women\'s empowerment.

The Family Literacy program annually enrolls 40 ESL families. It serves to u201cempower the parent to grow the child.u201d During the regular school year, (Sept u2013 May), adult ESL students attend ESL class while their children attend ESL preschool. On Fridays, the parent and child join together for special interactive activities.
